The OAAG Leadership & Cultural Pluralism Project was developed through think tanks that followed up on OAAG’s work with the Ontario Arts Council on the conference Critical Dialogues: Cross Cultural Perspectives on Curating and Artistic Practice (March 2013). OAAG issued invitations to potential think tank participants, some of whom were presenters at Critical Dialogues.
OAAG also consulted with established and emerging art gallery professionals who were working in (or have worked in) public art galleries in Ontario, and with leaders of existing mentorship programs in the arts sectors.
The think tanks centered around questions of cultural diversity, cultural pluralism, gallery leadership and training for leadership.
